Day 12 - Buckingham Palace

I am beginning to see a pattern. You are allowed to photograph the outside of a building, but when it comes to the really interesting stuff (everything else) photography is prohibited. However, I shall not fail you. I will just have to get creative. I'm going to mix a few of my pictures of the outside with the ones I find on Google of the inside.
The courtyard surrounding Buckingham Palace

Me in front of the gate

And here's where we start getting into other pictures from the web......
Throne Room taken from http://www.smh.com.au/travel/the-art-of-ruling-badly-20100218-ohzt.html
Grand Staircase from http://www.albemarle-london.com/Attractions/StateRooms.php
White Drawing Room from http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/egallery/object.asp?category=DBTHE+ROYAL+RESIDENCES%3A+INTERIOR+VIEWS&object=8500087&row=8
The long mirror in the back on the left is actually a hidden door that the Queen sometimes walks through.
Blue Room from http://lifesadventures-amb.blogspot.com/2010/08/buckingham-palace-tour.html
That should give you some idea of what the inside looks like. Everything is gold and marble. Except for the Queen's tiara.....

Now that's some Grandma jewelry. Better start selling your radios now Grandpa.

Gardens
The lighting is not so great on these because it started to drizzle and the clouds moved in.
